I first smelled the 4711 fragrance a student from Venezuela at my boarding schooling the 50s wore. I wasn’t aware at the time that it was actually a men’s toiletry product but when I discovered it years later and learned it was loved by women as well I bought my first spray bottle at a drug store in Puerto Rico.
